Looking towards the defendants dock as officials of the I. G. Farben awaited their turn to pleading guilty or otherwise to charges filed against them by the Office of Chief of Counsel. Shown on this day of arraignment in the main court at Nurnberg are, front, left to right, Carl Krauch, leading defendant and chairman of the Supervisory Board of Directors of that firm; Hermann Schmitz, chairman of the Managing Board of Directors; George von Schnitzler, responsible for Farben's domestic and foreign sales; Fritz Gajewski manager of Afga photo plants.
