Description

MAX ILGNER, one of 24 Farben officials indicted at Nurnberg on war crimes charged, studies a document while on the witness stand. A director in the vast chemical combine which supplied explosives and poison gas to Hitler's army, Ilgner directed foreign intelligence, espionage, and propaganda activities for Farben. The Farben defendants are charged with giving staunch support to Hitler in waging wars of aggression, plunder and spoliation of the occupied countries, and enslavement and mass murder of foreign nationals in Farben factories.
