Description
In the I.G.Farben courtroom at Nurnberg, defense counsel Dr. Alfred Seidl of Munich asked for the acquittal of his client against the"false charges"of the prosecution that accused the industrialist with participating in aggressive warfare and other inhumane activities. Duerrfeld, director and manager of Farben's Auschwitz plant and the Monowitz concentration camp, was indicted in May 1947 by the U.S. Government with 22 other Farben directors for actively supporting the aggressive wars launched by Hitler. In the government's case Duerrfeld was charged with conscripting concentration camp inmates as slave laborers for Farben plants.
