Description
OTTO OHLENDORF, leading defendant in the Einsatzgruppen (Special Task Forces) war crimes trial in Nurnberg where he has admitted responsibility for the murder of 90,000 Jews, gypsies, and other "socially or politically undesirables", shown as he was sworn in as a witness for the prosecution 2 December 1947 in the case against twenty three former Farben officials. Ohlendorf was brought to the stand to testify on the defendants' connections with the SS and their membership in the "Himmler Circle of Friends." He stated the "Circles" was composed of German economists who gave financial support to the SS in return for Himmler's political support of their industries.
