Description
Former Farben official Hans Kuenhe told the U.S. War Crimes Court at Nurnberg that his only interests lie in the field of music and his work as a chemist, not in aggressive wars and the inhumane treatment of fellow humans as has charged the United States prosecution. Kuehne, one of 23 high officials of Farben arraigned on war crimes charges, was production chief of inorganics, organic intermediates, dyestuffs, and pharmaceuticals. The prosecution has charged the leaders of the giant chemical combine with willingly putting their vast resources at the disposal of Hitler for his wars of conquest in the return for certain spoils of the wars that included slave labor and possession of foreign chemical firms.
