Former Farben official Carl Lautenschlaeger shown pleading not guilty to war crimes charges filed against him by the Office of Chief of Counsel. Lautenschlaeger's arraignment took place during opening session of the case inasmuch as he was the only defendant not present on the formal day of arraignment, 14 August 47. The defendant was a member of the Managing Board of Directors of the firm. Photo 27 August 47
