Description

The war crimes trial against 23 I.G.Farben officials is overshadowed by Russian ideology as opposed to the traditional legal codes of the civilized world, charges Dr. Eduard Wahl, counsel spokesman for the Defense in a U.S. war crimes court at Nurnberg. "The sentences of the International Military Tribunal judgment on the aggressive war counts do not rest upon recognized principles of law," Wahl said, "but upon an agreement among the victor states." He pleaded that the Farben officials had nothing to do with the highest Nazi clique and went on to say that not even the Kellogg Pact contained sanctions against private persons and industrialists.
